Kids, schedules, homework, and chaos! We're experimenting with hybrid learning for our freshman son (a mix of in-person and virtual/at-home). The past six months have been an adventure as we searched for the best school environment for him. Maybe some of you can relate to a situation where "regular" school just wasn't a good fit. Seeking Justice for Walker

On December 1, 2022, Walker Montgomery interacted with a supposed 19-year-old girl from Greensboro, North Carolina, on Instagram.

The conversation eventually turned to blackmail. A sextortionist threatened to release a sexual video of the 16-year-old boy unless he gave the scammer $1,000, which led to Walker's suicide.

Now, Adebola Festus Adekunle, from Lagos, Nigeria, has been extradited to the United States, and a federal judge has arraigned him for the alleged criminal acts that led to the teenager’s death (MS Free Press).

Parents, please say certain very direct things to your teens about who they interact with. Connecting to others is as strong a feeling as hunger to the adolescent brain. This isn't their fault. We must counter that urge with specific words and phrases.
